Yesterday I talked about workshops in Handmade Happiness. Suggesting I'll run the workshops every day the shop is open was a bit hasty. I will be led by demand.
Today I'll mention another idea and see what the response is. I like the idea of the American quilting bee. Women (or men) sitting round the table working on a joint project. Traditionally it would be on a wedding quilt. I'm not suggesting quilting. I'm suggesting that anyone who wants to make in the company of others can draw up a chair round the table in Handmade Happiness and work on their own items while sharing the chat and the tea and biscuits. We can talk about the possibility of a joint project for the future. Wednesday afternoons would be a good time for me. Sorry but no unaccompanied children.
The shop re-opens this Wednesday January 2nd. 10-5.
