On that hot Friday I went up to London in search of the perfect birthday present for my mother. The only thing she's mentioned she wants is bathroom scales. Boring.
She used to collect white flower china. That was easy.
But now she doesn't want anything decorative. She doesn't want any toiletries or make up. In fact she doesn't really want anything at all. And that's what I returned home with. Absolutely nothing.
I can get the scales at Boots in Petersfield.
